Biographical Highlights
Eric Brown is a Research Fellow at Hudson Institute.

 

Brown joined the institute in 2004.  Since then, he has directed and contributed to a wide range of research and analysis projects focused on Asia, on Islamic affairs, alternative geopolitical futures, and U.S. foreign policy and strategy. 

 

Brown has conducted extensive research in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.  

 

He has been a regular consultant to the U.S. government, to foundations and to NGOs, as well as to international business.

 

He graduated with highest honors from Marlboro College and studied the classical thought of India, China and Japan at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Publications and Media Exposure

Brown is co-editor of the biannual scholarly review Current Trends in Islamist Ideology (www.CurrentTrends.org). 

 

He has also written for The American Interest, China Heritage Quarterly, The Wall Street Journal-Asia, and for Jane's Information Group, among other publications

 

From 2003-2004, he was an associate editor of The New Atlantis.
