A debate between Carol Adelman and Steve Radelet moderated by Sebastian Mallaby at Peter G. Peterson Conference Center, Institute for International Economics Each speaker will have 10 minutes for an opening statement and a 5 minute response. Carol Adelman is a Senior Fellow and Director of Hudson's Center for Science in Public Policy, specializing in development, aid, trade and health. During 30 years as a public servant and consultant to private businesses and non-profit organizations, Adelman has specialized in international public policy and overseas business marketing and development. Her experience with the federal government includes work with the Office of Economic Opportunity and the Agency for International Development, where she served as a career foreign service officer and as a Presidential appointee heading U.S. foreign aid programs to Asia, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe.
