recently held a book discussion of
America's Secular Challenge:
The Rise of a New National Religion
By Herbert London
Tuesday, September 16
12:00 – 2:00 PM
Weinstein, Tyrell, and London
Hudson President Herbert London argues in his timely and wide-ranging new book, America's Secular Challenge (Encounter) that the pervasive culture of secularism in the United States is an inadequate response to radical Islam. In the so-called war of ideas, London explains, our reflexive belief in relativism has handicapped our ability to thwart the inroads of fanaticism, as secular humanism has destroyed the West's only beliefs worth defending.
Of the book, the Washington Times says, "Reading London's forcefully argued and gracefully written book makes one understand why religious belief matters."
R. Emmett Tyrell, Editor-in-Chief of the American Spectator provided commentary. Hudson CEO, Ken Weinstein, introduced London and Tyrell.
