On July 8, 2009 Hudson Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Latin American Studies Jaime Daremblum, along with former Honduran president Ricardo Maduro, briefed the Republican members of the House Foreign Relations Committee. At the request of U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Ambassador Daremblum and President Maduro met with U.S. Representatives Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Donald Manzullo (R-IL), Howard Coble (R-NC), Vernon Ehlers (R-MI), and others on Capitol Hill. They discussed the current crisis in Honduras.
