Hassan Mneimneh will join Hudson as a Visiting Fellow with the Center for Islam, Democracy, and the Future of the Muslim World and as co-editor, with Hillel Fradkin and Eric Brown, of Current Trends in Islamist Ideology. "It is a great pleasure to welcome Dr. Mnemneh to Hudson Institute. Hassan combines great knowledge of the contemporary Muslim world with great experience in and dedication to addressing the challenges it faces," says Hillel Fradkin, Director of the Center for Islam.
Mneimneh previously served as Executive Director of the Iraq Memory Foundation and Co-Director of the Iraq Research and Documentation Center, where he supervised the structuring, annotation, and analysis of an archive of documents from Saddam Hussein's regime, as well as the production of television programs aimed at empowering Iraqi citizens. He was also a political development expert consulted by the Baker-Hamilton Iraq Study Group. Mneimneh has written extensively on radicalization and insurgency in the Middle East and participates in initiatives designed to assess and counter extremism in the Muslim world.
