Kacie Marano

Biographical Highlights

Since joining the Hudson Institute's Center for Global Prosperity in July 2009, Kacie Marano has been in charge of executing all operational details for the Center; organizing meetings, compiling and administering contracts, overseeing the Center's calendars and internal budgets. Ms. Marano assists in writing, editing and researching for an array of global health and international development projects. In particular, Ms. Marano manages the final publication of the Index of Global Philanthropy and Remittances. She coordinates the planning, scheduling, and execution of events, recruits speakers and oversees the work of four interns. She implements communication and education outreach strategies working closing with Hudson Institute's communication staff.

 

Before joining the Hudson Institute, Ms. Marano earned her Master's in International Relations with high honors from The American University in Washington, D.C. She conducted her Master's thesis in Kathmandu, Nepal on the relationship between small Nepali youth organizations and larger International NGOs within the country.

 

Kacie Marano previously worked as Program Assistant at the Center for Peace Building International in Washington D.C., an organization committed to helping build capacity for youth organizations dedicated to promoting peace. While at the Center, Kacie co-initiated the inter-agency network for Evaluating Youth Programs in Areas of Conflict.

 

Ms. Marano has field experience working on HIV education in Lusaka, Zambia and Human Rights Education in Kathmandu, Nepal; including extensive international experience, living in the United Arab Emirates, Gabon and the Caribbean.

 

Ms. Marano also volunteers to help raise money on behalf of the Martin J Marano fund. Last year she was able to raise over 30,000 dollars through one event, all proceeds going to the Jimmy V Fund for Cancer Research.
