The US Navy has long been the world’s largest and most capable military fleet. However, China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy recently overtook the US Navy in size and, with the PLA’s missile and air forces, threatens the US and its allies across the western Pacific. Against a large and sophisticated opponent like China, the US Navy cannot simply grow or adopt new technologies to regain its advantage. US sailors will need to innovate operationally or risk losing their next conflict.

Please join Hudson Senior Fellow Bryan Clark, author and ICF Vice President Trent Hone, Dmitry Filipoff of the Center for Maritime Security, and Michael Hunzeker, author and associate professor at George Mason University, for a discussion about the importance of operational innovation and the Hudson Institute’s new report, “Learning to Win.”
