WASHINGTON, D.C. — Hudson Institute will present Dr. Alex Karp, cofounder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, with the Herman Kahn Award at its annual gala in New York City on November 11, 2025.

“Dr. Karp is a transformative force in technology and national security,” said Hudson President and CEO John P. Walters. “Through his leadership at Palantir, he has helped equip America and our allies with critical tools to counter today’s most urgent challenges. His unwavering commitment to advancing American leadership makes him a fitting recipient of our highest honor, the Herman Kahn Award.”

“What Dr. Karp has done at Palantir is nothing short of remarkable,” said Sarah May Stern, chair of Hudson’s Board of Trustees. “But what makes him truly singular—and why he’s so deserving of this award—is his deep patriotism. He has done more than nearly anyone else to restore American dominance and defend the ideals that make America great.”

“I am honored to receive the Herman Kahn Award,” said Dr. Karp. “Hudson, like Palantir, is unafraid to say just how important American leadership is in defending democratic values and safeguarding Western civilization.”

The Herman Kahn Award, named for Hudson’s founder whose public policy scholarship challenged conventional thinking, honors individuals whose commitment to strategic leadership and public service has strengthened the security and prosperity of the United States and its allies.
