Please be advised: This event will premiere LIVE on this page at 12:00 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, March 23.

Join Hudson Institute’s Director for South and Central Asia and former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Husain Haqqani and National Security Advisor to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ambassador Hamdullah Mohib to discuss the status of peace talks in Afghanistan.

Decades of civil war, terrorist insurgency and a resilient (and untrustworthy) Taliban have made the peace process in Afghanistan a perilous task. Will negotiations result in a meaningful peace, or will U.S. attempts to extricate itself from Afghanistan empower extremists to reassert total control over the Afghan people? Hudson Institute is pleased to welcome Ambassador Hamdullah Mohib to discuss this timely issue.
