But there is strong evidence that China is forcibly collecting citizens’ DNA for surveillance and research, studying the genetic enhancement of humans for military purposes, and working to create genetically selective bioweapons. Along with posing moral and ethical issues, this research constitutes a grave national security threat to the United States.
