Two of the most contentious issues in the negotiations are whether Iran will give up its enriched uranium and relinquish control over the Strait of Hormuz. Doran suggested that the two-week ceasefire is likely to hold because Iran may use the pause to buy time and recover from the damage it sustained in the conflict.
