Join Hudson Institute for a conversation with Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster, U.S. Army (Ret.) on his new book Battlegrounds: The Fight to Defend the Free World The discussion will be moderated by Hudson Institute Asia-Pacific Security Chair Patrick M. Cronin.

McMaster will discuss highlights from his book in addressing the need to re-examine how the United States assesses and approaches the diverse list of national security and foreign policy threats facing the country. Have we fallen behind our adversaries in terms of regional and global power or influence? What policies or movements led to the current views of American foreign policy? How must we change our military and political thinking to better confront challenges across the world? The moderated discussion will cover these and other questions.
