One year ago today, the leaders of Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States announced an enhanced trilateral security partnership called AUKUS, which reinforces and intensifies decades of close partnership. To mark the anniversary, please join us in welcoming the Hon. Andrew Hastie, MP, to Hudson Institute. Congressman Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin will introduce Hastie, who represents Canning in the Australian House of Representatives and serves as the shadow minister of defence for the Liberal Party of Australia. The member of parliament will deliver remarks on the defense relationship, and afterward Hudson Institute’s Bryan Clark and Patrick Cronin will join him for a panel discussion moderated by Peter Rough.
