As the 117th Congress ends, we look back at recent US-Taiwan relations and how the US Congress strengthened the bilateral relationship—whether by fighting for Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Organization or supporting Taiwan’s defensive capabilities. Beijing continues to work aggressively to isolate Taiwan from the international community while showing a willingness to use its military against the small island. How should the next Congress think about America’s policies toward Taiwan, and how should it help maintain peace and security in the Indo-Pacific? Join us as we discuss this important topic with Representative Don Bacon, a member of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus and House Armed Services Committee.
