Biography
Dr. Ronald W. Dworkin was a senior fellow at Hudson Institute. He is a physician and has been practicing in the Department of Anesthesiology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center since 1989.
In 1996, Dr. Dworkin co-founded the Calvert Institute for Policy Research, a Maryland public policy center directed at looking at the entire range of state and local public policy issues. In 1998, he was Ellen Sauerbrey's senior health policy advisor during her gubernatorial campaign and chairman of her health policy task force. Dr. Dworkin is a regular contributor to the opinion pages of the Baltimore Sun, as well as an essayist for national journals of opinion. He earned his doctorate in political philosophy from the Johns Hopkins University, and his dissertation was later published as a book, The Rise of the Imperial Self: America's Culture Wars in Augustinian Perspective.
