Biography

Steven Price is the Chairman and CEO of Townsquare Media. Prior to that he was a Senior Managing Director at Centerbridge Partners, L/P., a $3 billion multi-strategy private equity fund. Prior to joining Centerbridge at its founding in early 2006, Mr. Price was a Senior Management Director at Spectrum Equity Investors, a private equity firm focused on the business and information services, media and communications industries. Prior thereto, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Spectrum, Space and communications). For his service, he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. He served on numerous Pentagon task forces and boards including the Multinational Interoperability Council, the Defense Policy Board for Federal Aviation, the Joint Battle Damage Assessment Council, the U.S. Senior Steering Group for the World Radio Conference, and the Unified Command System Executive Board. Mr. Price was DoD liaison with the intelligence community on numerous issues.

Prior to joining the Administration in November 2001, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of LiveWire Capital, which he founded. Mr. Price was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of PriCellular Corporation, a publicly traded (AMEX ticker ?PC?) cellular telephone operator which was sold in June 1998 for $1.4 billion.

Mr. Price previously has served in the U.S. State Department as Special Assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the START Talks, and also worked in the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Price is a phi beta kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Brown University and earned a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law. Among other activities, he was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of Brown University, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the National Archives, the New York State Health Foundation, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), UJA-Federal of New York, and the Brown University Program for Recovery from Military Combat, which he founded. He was a Pioneer for Bush-Cheney, is a consultant to the Defense Science Board, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
