The United States Navy is facing an increasingly challenging threat environment, looming financial shortfalls, and declining readiness. These are not new trends, and after the war against Iran ends, the US fleet will find itself too small for its missions and too large for its budget. The underlying problem is a fleet design that fails to exploit the new technologies US adversaries use to gain an advantage, such as unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, and commercially derived weapons.

Join Senior Fellow Bryan Clark for a presentation of his new report, Righting the Ship: Building a Relevant US Navy Fleet for Twenty-First-Century Deterrence and Combat. He will discuss the challenges facing the US Navy and how a new fleet design could help it address its missions within likely future budget and personnel constraints. The webinar will also include time for questions and answers.
