Biography

Julia Sibley was director of communications at Hudson Institute, leading on media engagement and helping to formulate and execute Hudson’s communications strategy.

Prior to joining Hudson, Julia served as deputy director of communications at the International Republican Institute, with responsibility for editorial strategy, messaging and media relations for an international NGO with a presence in nearly 100 countries worldwide.

Julia previously headed external relations at Advancing Human Rights from 2014 to 2016 after nine years living abroad in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. She worked for the Qatar Foundation in Doha as a head of special projects from 2013 to 2014, where she was part of the team that delivered the inaugural World Innovation Summit for Health. Sibley joined the London-based think tank, the Henry Jackson Society, in 2011, authoring reports on subjects including the Russian opposition movement, writing for publications such as the __Wall Street Journal__ and the __Times of London__, and delivering testimony to parliamentary bodies including the European Union Working Group on Corruption and Human Rights.

She is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and was born and raised in New Jersey.
